Hurricane Otis Putting Weight on the Plate
Hurricane Otis off the shore of Baja Mexico is moving very slow. Such Hurricanes do move vast amounts of ocean water and we are all too familiar with the definition of storm surges especially after Hurricane Katrina and Rita this year. When large Hurricanes get close to the shore they put weight on the tectonic plates. Plate movement is to be expected especially on plates, which have breaks in them or fault lines.
I propose that such weight on the plates is causing Earthquakes and Volcanic Activity where such activity exists. Also that Typhoons in Asia cause these problems as well, as it appears that Volcanic Activity does occur at that time and afterwards as the plates try to readjust again.
We have seen a high number of Hurricanes in the Pacific coming off the coasts of Central America and moving out to sea. We see Hurricane Otis moving up the coast Northeastward running along Baja as a Category I storm, moving to and from Tropical Storm status and moving a lot of water in the process as well. We also know of several Volcanoes going on in Central America and Peru had a huge Earthquake as well, 7.8. We know that Mexico City had their large 8.5 quake after such a scenario in 1985 two months following another large quake in that year in Peru and several Volcanoes and earthquakes in Central America. All of which have occurred recently.
If these forces continue, will we see a huge Earthquake in Mexico City, now with 20-million people? Where will they go. The city is sinking, it sits by a large volcano and it is practically on a fault line. Are we prepared to take on another 20-million illegal aliens, as refugees? Can we absorb another 20-million people at a time when we are entering a downturn in our business cycle? This gives a whole new thought to the concept of bring us your poor and weary? Think on it.
